Gillian Polley inherited her passion for plants and gardens from her
mother. In a career spanning over 20 years, Gillian worked in events,
quality and customer service management in the fields of
Communications, IT, Insurance and the Voluntary Sector.
She then undertook formal training in Edinburgh as a garden designer
before setting up Polley Garden design in 2002. This is now a thriving
Edinburgh-based practice working for both public and private clients in
Scotland and beyond. Gillian has worked on a wide variety of projects,
including a large sensory garden for young people with multiple
disabilities, as part of a team of garden designers.
Projects by Polley Garden Design have been featured in The Scotland on
Sunday At Home and the Chelsea Flower Show Charity Preview 2007.
