Let your garden grow

Whether you have a small city courtyard or acres of green lawns, spring is the time to start thinking about making the most of your outside space, writes Gillian Welsh

It’s that time of year when its not only your interior space that could benefit from some TLC. A glance through your kitchen window will have you longing for a well designed, structured garden – an exterior space to meet your lifestyle needs and to complement the look you’ve worked so hard to cultivate inside.

However, while many interiors can easily be revived with a lick of paint and some casually thrown cushions, overhauling the garden can be both daunting and back-breaking if your garden is in a state of total disrepair – the grass is taller than you and the bramble bushes look as if they’re about to invade your house – you’ll be needing professional advice. So where do you go for help? Well as a rule of thumb, builders build houses, garden designers, with landscapers create gardens.
