A gravel stabilisation grid system with a permeable membrane was laid on top of the driveway foundations with a sett edging.   Using a gravel stabilisation system stops gravel movement (the effect you get walking on loose gravel which can be unstable) and rutting and allows easy access for wheelchair users. This system is also SUDS (sustainable urban drainage) compliant. An unsightly drain near the front door was dealt with by using an inlay drain cover.  A linear drain is installed along the front of the garage door.
